Jingru Li

ARTIST STATEMENTJingru Li was born in 1983 in the rural mountain village of Fujian in China.She began studying painting in high school in 1998 and later graduated with a degree in graphic design in 2004 before founding her own photographic studio in 2005.She moved to Australia in 2013 with her husband, Jiejing Li. Together they developed an artist studio and Serenity Gallery in Upper Ferntree Gully at the Gateway to the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria.She has 7 years of experience teaching painting classes,Being good at dividing complex painting methods into simple steps makes it easier for students to understand and use painting techniques, and it is also very important to develop their own inner sensibility.She hopes to share her experience with everyone,More people can have fun with painting.She has started to focus on online classes in 2019.Hope more friends from different places join our class and enjoy painting.She picked up watercolor as she likes the relaxed and freedom feelings you can achieve with that medium.She loves painting natural things, flowers, butterflies, feathers, stones, mountains, etc.,painting everything we can see in our lives.Painting is a creative way to record her daily life and memories.She finds watercolor painting to be a very therapeutic hobby.Hope to see you at one of our future classes!
