About Joe:"I tend to refer to myself as a 'Men’s Work Facilitator' - a term I use to encompass the myriad ways I offer my services of supporting & coaching Men on their healing journeys. Through a combination of Life coaching, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), tried and tested mindfulness techniques and esoteric Shamanic practices, I have developed a way of holding space for men to reach a higher, healthier and happier level of being.After 11 years of working as a barber, cutting thousands of men's hair, I found myself naturally developing a knack for inviting people into deeper conversations about themselves. Many clients referred to their time in my chair as therapy.Along the way, I started to notice recurring patterns within the circumstances of each individual to the things that were holding them back or causing them distress. All this paralleled my own personal development and a victorious battle over a depression that loomed over me since I was a teen. I found my calling.For the past few years, I have refined my practice, firstly starting a men's walking group back in 2018 - the intention of this was to create a community while reconnecting men to the healing gifts of nature and their own personal power within. Next came my Men's Circles; intimate containers where men would share and support each other through the troubles in their lives. After witnessing the power of these types of healing spaces, I knew I wanted to be able to guide men deeper within their healing journeys and to be able to offer professional support confidently, so I trained as a Life Coach, NLP Practitioner, as well as training in the Shamanic practice known as the Medicine Wheel.This combination of my personal experience and training has led me to the unique service I offer today, which, I have no doubt, will be ever-evolving.
