As a writer, certified reiki + sound practitioner, and a practicingTransformational Language Artist, Kristian is the creator, and visionary behindDear Mama,a gentle healing space for mamas to open the heart, and free the soul through poetry, journaling, mindfulness + community. She uses writing as a catalyst to assist her students in owning their stories by creating a safe space for healing rooted in love, mindfulness, shame resilience, and forgiveness. She is currently working on her debut poetry collection to be released in August.Kristian describes using her journal as a way to know thyself. To bring to the surface and heal what was suppressed. As with any group, any “population,” my job is not to help them; to believe so would be hierarchical self-flattery. Beyond providing guidance, it is my job to “just be,” so they can let the river of their words take them, to be free. It is my role to bear witness without judgment to the struggles the writer is facing or the road they are on, no matter how different it may look from the one I’m traveling.
