Laurens Alumnae Chapter - DST Sorority, Inc.

The Laurens Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on May 1, 1982 by 12 trailblazing women.We service all cities and municipalities in Laurens County. Each year the chapter implements a full program agenda that encompasses the Sorority's 5 Point Programmatic Thrust with projects such as Books for Babies, Operation Pocketbook for our local domestic violence shelter, donations to Family Promise, Laurens Memorial Home, Open Door Christian Ministry and Ms. Shirley's Closet. Laurens Alumnae also supports the NAACP, Sanders Alumni's MLK Celebration, and the United Way among others. Yearly scholarships are also awarded to college bound, graduating seniors from Laurens District 55 High School and Clinton High School.The Laurens Alumnae Chapter is a part of the South Atlantic Region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
