Livvy Drake began her career in events working across indoor and outdoor events from catering to sponsorship and event management but became disheartened at the wastefulness of the indutsry. After retraining in Sustainable Event Management she worked with award-winning Kambe events and Shambala Festival.As a freelancer she has worked with a range of organisations in the Bristol sustainability sector including Bristol Green Capital Partnership , FareShare SouthWest, City to Sea and Refill, Bristol Food Network.Livvy has delivered sustainability policy workshops with a range of clients from charities to event management companies and even a rowing team! As a consultant, auditing suppliers, she regularly reads companies online policies and always questions vague generic policies. She also works with a lot of organisations where people have conflicting ideas and has found conducting these workshops is the most effective way of focusing a team, removing tension and delivering change.The Sustainable Sidekicks now offer training and consultation around impact reduction, team engagement and waste reduction for events and businesses, alike .
