Founded in 1991, Madrigallery is Waterford City’s longest standing community chamber choir.It has a firmly established reputation for “not-to-be-missed” performances, often in collaboration with professional guest musicians and soloists from Ireland and beyond. Madrigallery concerts aim to reflect a wide range of musical interests both within the choir and among their audience.In recent years, the choir has been undergoing an exciting transformation and rejuvenation. Fresh faces, fresh voices, a new musical director and a truly eclectic menu of vocal arrangements from early madrigals and universally adored choral classics to contemporary greats such as Morten Lauridsen and Ola Gjeilo. Even aficionados of Jazz, Gospel and traditional Irish tunes can expect to get their money’s worth.Musical Director Pauline Kennedy, herself an experienced singer and multi-instrumentalist, curates every programme with Madrigallery’s vocal versatility and the audience's enjoyment at the forefront of her mind.
