About

Our mission: To empower the physical rehabilitation community, through education, training, and research, to help patients with complex gait disabilities learn to move again with confidence. We empower through our Mission Gait Academy, foster engagement through our Patient Re-Integration, and build capacity through our International Walking Free Missions.Mission Gait Foundation (MGF) was established in 2016 to beneficially change the future of those with debilitating gait disabilities. Through years of clinical experience leading the nationally renowned Gait Center, David Lawrence determined that there are shortfalls in our healthcare system that are preventing people from receiving the care they need. Together with his wife Carolyn, the Lawrences established MGF. Since then, MGF has been building resources: professional continuing education courses and specialty certification programs, an Instructor Library, patient re-integration events, and 340 no cost YouTube videos, 4.1 million views and 27,000 subscribers in 170 countries.
