Napa Regional Dance Foundation

Napa Regional Dance Company, Inc. was founded in 1988. Our mission is to provide excellent dance training and education, while promoting dance as an art form. Our instructors have professional backgrounds, having performed with such groups as American Ballet Theater, Dance Theater of Harlem, Oakland Ballet, Ballet West, and the Joffrey Ballet.NRDC currently offers a year-round curriculum for boys and girls in classical ballet, contemporary, jazz , and choreography, in addition to several performance opportunities per year. The annual production of the classical ballet,The Nutcracker,is presented to the Napa Valley Community during the holiday season, and a year-end student showcase presenting repertoire of classical and contemporary dance works is held each spring. NRDC also offers educational outreach programs to schools in the area through lecture demonstration.Napa Regional Dance Foundation (NRDF) was formed in 2014 as a non-profit partner with Napa Regional Dance Company, with the idea of expanding performance opportunities for young dancers in Napa County. We envision traditional partnerships, such as live musical accompaniment of dance performances, as well as creative artistic pairings with other performing arts groups. NRDF believes in the power of dance education to positively influence the lives of young dancers. Dance training teaches countless life lessons — discipline, focus, body awareness, and the delayed gratification of working hard towards a series of goals, ever increasing in intensity.
