PDR - International Centre for Design and Research is a world-leading and award-winning, multi-disciplinary design consultancy and design research centre.Due to the quality of our product and service design we have been recognised as the Number 1 consultancy in the UK by the IF Awards, and top 10 globally, holding over 90 international design awards. The quality of our research is evidenced by funding from UKRI, the European Commission, various Charities and partnerships with top universities around the world.Our research interests are centred on understanding how the strategic use and practice of design can be encouraged, implemented and improved in different organisations and sectors. This interest is based on a body of knowledge that indicates that the effective use of design is an efficient driver of innovation and thus contributes to competitiveness, economic prosperity and social impact. PDR has a long track record in delivering successful innovation support programmes.PDR undertakes work and partnerships with organisations in all sectors, from Finance to Medical to Engerineering to the Creative Industries. In addition to this work in the Private Sector, we also have a long history in collaboration, partnership and service provision to the Public Sector, including the Cabinet Office, Government Digital Service, Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC), Northern Ireland Innovation Lab, Scottish Enterprise, Welsh Government, Cardiff City Council, Essex County Council, the Estonian Social Enterprise Network, the Polish Agency for Enterprise and the European Central Bank.
