Raven Hughes

Hi, my name is Raven Hughes. I graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in May 2021. After graduating with my BA in Accounting, I moved to Champaign, Illinois to start my accounting career. After a couple of years as a tax associate, I decided to switch career paths and became an Underwriter at State Farm.I'm a disability ally. I watched my mother go through two kidney transplants. The first transplant was when I was a freshman in college, and the second transplant was in May 2023. I am passionate about kidney awareness because I watched a loved one go through something that could have been detected. Words can't describe how hard and long the journey has been, but it is a journey that my mom will have for the rest of her life. So, it will also be a journey that I will continue to have for the rest of my life.
