About

Sheng Hong Arts Institute (SHAI) was established in 2008 to inherit and promote Chinese culture and traditional arts, and actively contribute to the development of local Chinese music, dance and opera. SHAI consists of three divisions: Chinese Dance, Traditional Nanyin, and Chinese Musical Instruments. We are committed to creating a people-centric education of Chinese arts, improving the public’s understanding and appreciation of Chinese arts, and enriching the students’ artistic experience. Over the years, SHAI has continuously supported local young artists and provided them with opportunities to study abroad, compete, and teach at home and abroad. At the same time, the Academy also actively invites professionals to guide courses, invests in additional facilities and musical instruments, and thus creates a first-class hardware and software teaching environment for the institute. As a charitable organization, SHAI provides learning opportunities for Singaporeans regardless of race, religion and language. The institute will respond to the support and help of students, the public and all sectors of society with a warm and positive attitude, and strive to become an excellent local Chinese cultural education institution.
