Click here to subscribe to our text messages.Surfers for Autismwas founded in 2008 by a handful of South Florida surfers who realized the impact of surfing's healing magic on children diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Since that first event, held at Deerfield Beach, SFA has reached countless participants, families, volunteers, communities, and supporters providing understanding, inspiration, inclusiveness and loving encouragement.Surfers for Autism has been honored to provide our surf events FREE to our participants and volunteers not only with personal water time and resources, but also with a FREE lunch for up to 1200 people from area restaurants and eatery's that support our cause.Today SFA hosts large events all over the state of Florida, registering 200 participants, and 600 + volunteers, bring local business and resources to the beach and connecting communites. We also host smaller Chapter events for two consecutive weekends each month from May through September in Martin County and St. Lucie Counties.
