Talking & Exploring

Joanna is the leader for all Talking and Exploring events, mostly walks of short distances and with many stops to take in the surroundings.She gives walks with a difference, as she chooses areas that are less well known, and provides a fascinating insight into their history, demographics and points of interest. Even locals will learn something new about their neighbourhood. Joanna encourages conversation and feedback during the walks and is often accompanied by locals who give their personal stories about the area being explored. Walks offer something for everyone - locals and visitors, young and old. The emphasis is on learning, sharing experiences and making friends.Joanna has built up a great rapport with many local businesses, organisations and creatives in the areas she visits, and one of the highlights of the walks is when café and bakery owners offer free samples of sweets, pastries and savouries!Walks are normally a maximum of 2 miles and last for around 2 hours, but always start or end up in a local eatery, so everyone has the opportunity to continue their conversations and celebrate new friendships.Walks are from £14 per person inc. Eventbrite fee or £15 cash on the day, but local councils and businesses sometimes sponsor Joanna’s walks, so special offers may be available.
