The Larder

The Larder is a social enterprise in West Lothian whose mission is to provide learning and community development opportunities that act as the catalyst for individual and social change.The Larder was founded in 2010 and registered as a charitable organisation in 2011 as a result of rising youth unemployment and a national decline in cooking ability. Initial operation took place within community facilities but soon moved to new premises in 2014 where a bespoke Training Academy was established. We now operate throughout West Lothian with four premises in the area. We provide training on employability, life skills, health and wellbeing alongside learning to cook and we support food insecurity through our project Catalyst Kitchen.
