About

The Metallic Sunflower Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to community development and empowerment through a multi-pronged approach encompassing agriculture, arts, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. We provide support for local vendors, offering affordable space, mentorship, and marketing assistance. Beyond business support, We organize community cleanups, create community gardens from recycled materials, host fundraisers featuring local artists, and provide agricultural and educational classes. We also act as grant fiduciaries, managing grant money for community projects, and handle tasks for larger corporations. Our upcoming Container Farming initiative aims to address food security, provide job training and STEM education, and create community-based events. The foundation's board comprises five women who are also vendors, bringing diverse backgrounds and experience to our leadership. The founder remains actively involved, assisting vendors on-site with setup, sales, and breakdown, reflecting a commitment to community support and collaboration.
