The West Coast Groove is Vancouver’s first Beatbox organization. Founded in 2015, we’ve built a community of local and internationally acclaimed beatboxers who strive to push the limits of the human voice to the highest level, exploring an oasis of sounds that enable the creation of unbelievable vocal compositions that are full music tracks. We are inclusive to all and encourage beatboxing in the form of jams, meetups, and battle events to give Canadian beatboxers a premier platform. Our goal is to deliver audience members an unprecedented acapella listening experience like never before by hosting dynamic beatboxing events.West Coast Groove beatboxers perform diverse genres ranging from folk, dubstep, drum and bass, r&b..etc using signature sounds they have cultivated over a collective experience of 40+ years. Many West Coast Groove members are world class competitors who have secured champion titles in international beatbox battles such as the Grand Beatbox Battle, Great North Beatbox Battle, Beatbox Battle World Championship located in Poland, Toronto, New York, and Berlin.MISSION STATEMENT:WCG Seeks to create a new culture of musical artists and promote the art of beatboxing through various collaborations of art and music. We strive to be an organization that allows individuals to learn, participate, and partake in battles and workshops throughout the Greater Vancouver area
