On May 11, 1978, 47 years ago today, Dorothy Stewart Samuel established Women for Progress of MS, Inc. with the aim of serving as a catalyst for change in the state of Mississippi. Today, we honor the legacy and influence of this organization, as well as the incredible women who dedicate themselves daily to enhancing community life and advocating for the well-being of women, families, and the broader community. Join us May 29, 2025 at The Smith Robinson Museum for a Founder’s evening at 6pm.
