Women In Dentistry

Women in Dentistry is a non-profit society with an aim to unite the growing number of female dental practitioners, who are active in the workforce, are on maternity leave or are retired. We also strive to provide asupport network for female dental practitioners to discuss unique issues, for example, the challenges in balancing roles as a clinician, practice owner, partner, mother and individual.There are almost 30 committed female dental specialists in Western Australia, who are already unified in their desire to promote mentorship and collegiality as well as provide formal and informal opportunities for continuing professional development across all dental disciplines. As a group, we hope to help all dental professionals achieve clinical excellence, improve business management and to derive personal satisfaction from their career. The society aims to achieve this through regular dinner meetings which combine formal professional development with genuine mentorship and friendship. In addition, support will be extended to appropriate charity groups from funds raised by the society.
