A celebration brought together by a lively and friendly group of experts and presenters from the wonderful world of artisan cheese. Thefestivalpromotes broad awareness of the artisan cheesemaking community and enjoyment of its products.As a nonprofit we continue to pursue our three-fold mission to educate people who want to learn all about artisan cheese, support the artisan cheesemaking community and its sustainability, and celebrate and enjoy the creations of the artisan cheesemakers. We were a pioneer in creating a festival for aficionados of artisan cheese, and we continue to find ways for cheesemakers and their fans to interact in enjoyable ways.The festival works very closely with theCalifornia Artisan Cheese Guildto help produce the Festival and involve as many California cheesemakers as possible. The Guild is the statewide, nonprofit trade group that supports its member cheesemakers in numerous ways, and works to keep a traditional craft alive, to preserve flavors unique to our state and to protect working farmland in a densely populated state.
