The Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment was founded by recently retired Dean John Bedford and Chairman Jo Rowan to educate, train and prepare dancers, managers, teachers, and choreographers for the American entertainment industry through degree programs offered by Dance and Arts Management Departments. Dance training emphasizes techniques used from Broadway to commercial dance focusing on techniques - tap, jazz, musical theater dance, rhythm tap and ballet (as used in musical theater).The School offers the following degrees: Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance Performance, Bachelor of Science in Dance Management, Bachelor of Science in American Dance Pedagogy, Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Business.Admission to all dance degree programs is by selective audition.The School is located in the Edith Kinney Gaylord Center, a world-class facility for teaching arts management and dance.Former students and graduates can be found performing, teaching, choreographing or managing throughout the world, from Broadway and L.A. to Tokyo and beyond."In our opinion, no other college in the country is doing a better job of preparing versatile dancers for this industry then the Ann Lacy School of American Dance & Entertainment at Oklahoma City University" - OnStage
