Hello, I am Miranda Malone, founder of Milwaukee Motherless Collective. I am a motherless daughter and mother, having lost my mom, Rosalie, when I was 5 months old. I am a psychotherapist in private practice in Shorewood, WI.Milwaukee Motherless Collective was founded out of my deep personal journey of loss, isolation, and ultimately, healing. Growing up without my mom, I often felt an overwhelming sense of isolation and a longing for the maternal bond I never had the chance to experience. As I navigated my childhood and adolescence, I struggled with the unique challenges that come with being motherless. The absence of my mom left a void that was difficult to fill, and I frequently felt disconnected from those around me who had the maternal support I so deeply missed.Despite these challenges, I embarked on a lifelong path of healing and self-discovery. Through my own journey through grief, I became a psychotherapist specializing in grief, loss and mother loss, and I realized the profound importance of community and support in the healing process. I yearned for a space where motherless daughters could come together, share their stories, and find solace in knowing they were not alone.Driven by this vision, I founded Milwaukee Motherless Collective in December 2023. I wanted to create a sanctuary for women who had lost their mothers, a place where they could feel understood, supported, and empowered. The collective was born from my desire to transform my own pain into a source of connection and healing for others.Milwaukee Motherless Collective is a testament to the love I have for my mom, Rosalie Malone, and to the resilience and strength of motherless daughters near and far. It is a space where women can honor their mothers' memories, share their journeys, and support one another through the ups and downs of life. Through this community, I hope to provide the support and understanding I longed for, helping other motherless daughters feel a sense of belonging and empowerment on their own paths to healing.
