Hola ya'll!My name is Helena, but most folks call me Lena. Here's a bit on how this whole thing got started...So, the last few years with COVID-19 has really had us in isolation. And if you haven't noticed, every Jennifer, Karen and Keisha have all jumped on the home-crafting-cricket bandwagon to make t-shirts and even tried their hand at epoxy resin. There have been an influx of small businesses across social media platforms. How many FB groups do YOU belong to? Throw into the mix some PPP loans and stimulus checks, and we have a recipe for a giant small business muddle.The worst feeling in the world is to just have pressed the 'submit' button, and that horror of doubt creeps into your mind that you just got scammed. Taken. Bamboozled. Hoodwinked.And then you panic. And then you start doing intensive research across social media to figure out if this person you just sent money to is actually legitimate or somewhere giggling there but off in another country with your hard-earned money.... All the research you didn't do or should have done before you hit SUBMIT, huh?The uncertainty; that crappy reality that small businesses can be hit or miss, and you're not sure who to trust, but you want to honor that commitment to shopping local and shopping small and supporting the causes. Dilemmas.Again, I said this is my second wind, so as my age has increased, my BS tolerance level has decreased. And though my mouth may be slick these days, I tell it like it is. My expectations are high, but fair and reasonable. I'm a military vet and a former government employee, so I know what bad customer service is, and I don't like IT or laziness. I expect service or product to exceed as advertised or promised, and I'ma talk aboutcha if you pull up on me with some subpar foolishness. IJS.My past lives make me a jack-of-all-trades and a master-of-none. I know a bit about a lot.
