BackgroundChoir In A Day is a brand new musical venture, located in picturesque Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. We specialise in community-powered one-day and two-day singing workshops in the historic Birchcliffe Centre, with guest tutors working alongside Jan Hinde, to create a choir in a day. Since our inception in 2023, we’ve connected with over 250 people, delighting and surprising audiences, teaching new songs, enriching the cultural ecosystem of the Calder Valley, supporting a local and growing community of professional and emerging Choir Leaders in the North and North West to thrive. We inspire communities, ignite creativity, and we celebrate place by offering one-day and two-day singing workshops in Calderdale.Our missionWe’re fuelled by our ambition to work side by side with all types of communities, and to create magical musical experiences, enriching the cultural ecosystem of the Calder Valley, supporting a local and growing community of professional and emerging Choir Leaders to thrive, by providing them with new songs and new inspiration.Our values and principlesWe care about the way we work.
