Since 1994, Fresno Interdenominational Refugee Ministries (FIRM) has been meeting the needs of refugee community members in Fresno. We serve the Hmong, Laotian, Slavic, African and Syrian communities, which represent over 60,000 people in Fresno County.We do this in many different ways, through Literacy, Welcoming, Community Building and Community Health program areas. We provide wrap-around services to all ages from young children to elders and are always pursuing new ways to meet the diverse needs of the people groups we serve. Our services span from after-school programs, to advocacy, to community gardens and much, much more! FIRM works directly with over 10,000 people from the refugee communities in the Central Valley each year!Since 2022, FIRM has been an approved Resettlement Agency through our national affiliate, Ethiopian Community Development Council (ECDC). We are excited to work with all of you to welcome refugees to Fresno and the great Central Valley.
