Anny Leigh has a darn good voice for claiming to be first and foremost a writer. The depth and honesty of her lyrics display a maturity perhaps beyond her years. A born performer, her gigs combine the joy of feel-good pop anthems with the kind of rawness and intimacy more suited to folk. Her 14-track debut album “Days of Sun and Thunder” is available on all major streaming platforms, made possible by a successful crowdfunding campaign.At the age of 16 she picked up playing the guitar and the piano and soon began writing songs. Originally from Germany, the artist moved around a lot from a young age, spending four of her formative years in Sheffield, allowing her to grow up bilingually. Anny adores pop songs but is a sucker for an electric guitar. She grew up listening to bands from the 70s to the 90s such as U2, Dire Straits and The Cranberries. Her main writing influences are Taylor Swift, Lorde and Lana Del Rey. Anny is based in Glasgow, Scotland.
