Yoga has been a longstanding part of Alex’s past and present, representing a constant source of freedom, bliss and a platform for creativity and being. A part of her education portfolio and pursuits, she is a multilingual yoga practitioner and a Registered Yoga Teacher (200-RYT), Aerial Yoga instructor, and Founder & Chief Yoga Officer of Bestemming Yoga, LLC, a continuing yoga education provider and retreat facilitator dedicated to the intersectionality of education, culture and wellness.Through Bestemming Yoga, Alex has led local and international retreats to destinations including Costa Rica and Greece. Her practice embodies multiple influences from Ashtanga and Kundalini to Somatic and Creative Vinyasa styles of yoga that inspire her holistic approach in life and on the mat and in aerial.She earned her 200-hour RYT certification at Serenity Yoga & Wellness in 2021 and completed Aerial Yoga Teacher Training at Blue Buddha Healing Arts in 2022. Practicing yoga is a life’s work in progress that allows her to connect, learn and share with others in as many languages as she can learn. The future is to go with the flow for many more years to come and continue to create inclusive experiences for learning, engagement and personal growth.
