Founded in 2021 by Kristine S., the Portland Women's Social Circle emerged from a simple desire for connection in a new city. Kristine, a newcomer to Portland, impulsively moved after the pandemic and soon realized that making friends as an adult wasn't as easy as she had hoped. Determined to change that narrative, she took matters into her own hands and created a Facebook group, initially comprising just 20 members.Fast forward to today, and the Portland Women's Social Circle has flourished under Kristine's guidance, boasting a membership of over 5,000 vibrant women. Kristine's vision of fostering genuine friendships outside of the usual spheres of life has resonated deeply with women of all ages in Portland.As the group evolves, Kristine is passing the baton to Rachel C., a fellow newcomer to Portland in 2021. Rachel, who quickly found solace and friendship within the group, shares Kristine's passion for building community and meaningful connections.
