The Rest of Us (TROU) is a Naarm/Melbourne-based arts and community organisation dedicated to championing creativity, amplifying diverse voices, and empowering emerging artists. We create spaces where artists from all backgrounds—especially those underrepresented in the mainstream—can share their work, connect, and grow.From multi-disciplinary art exhibitions and music workshops to live events and cultural gatherings, TROU is all about making creativity accessible, inclusive, and community-driven. Our mission is to support artists while fostering spaces where people can come together—whether through music, visual arts, or, in the case of our newest project, Breaking Bread, through food.At TROU, we believe that art and culture thrive when they’re for everyone. That’s why we keep our programs free or affordable, ensuring that creativity remains a shared experience, not a privilege. Every event, every workshop, and every gathering is a step toward building a more connected, diverse, and self-sustaining creative community.
