About this trip

Join Cassie Paul as you travel to Peru on this 9-day/8-night yoga and hiking retreat. This retreat includes yoga with Cassie as scheduled on the itinerary, sightseeing, a local cooking class and of course, hiking the famous 4-day Inca Trail Trek! Yoga sessions will take place when you are not on the Inca Trail. Yoga mats and space will be provided for you for your yoga session.

You will stay at highly-rated hotels when not hiking on the Inca Trail. When hiking, you will be tent camping. You will have porters carrying your things and setting up our tent. You will just be responsible for carrying your day pack for your snack, water, and anything else you may need during the day.

Please note: This is a health and wellness retreat and we encourage you to take a break and go alcohol free on this journey to self retreat. Say goodbye to hangovers and dehydration- hike the Inca Trail feeling revitalized and refreshed!

Benefits of a going alcohol free include: better sleep, more energy, stronger memory function, and overall better mental health.

Cassie launched into her first professional career as a Catering Manager at a liberal arts college in Massachusetts after earning her bachelor's in Tourism Management in 2008. Although she developed a diverse skill set, and immeasurable experience in the field, the corporate life proved to be unfulfilling in many ways. In 2012, Cassie set her eyes on the prize- a 'working holiday' in Australia and New Zealand. Traveling has always been a way for Cassie to stay curious, dynamic and determined.Cassie's wellness journey began with her love for running (with completion of 10 full marathons to date). In 2016, Cassie completed her CYT200 (Yoga Teacher Training) in Vancouver, B.C. Her yogic path started as one that was rooted in asana and mainly focused on the physical body. Cassie soon realized that yoga is the inward journey to healing. Sober from alcohol and substances for 4 years herself, Cassie uses tools such as mindfulness, spirituality, affirmations, movement, and connection to live a fulfilling and meaningful life in recovery.Cassie's belief is it is never too late to set a new vision for your life. Whether it's shifting the perspective that you aren't flexible enough for yoga, or that a marathon is impossible, it all starts with putting down your past story.Cassie is certified in Vinyasa, Yin, Mindfulness, CPR, Foodsafe, and is a Run Leader in Vancouver for the Nike Injury Prevention Study and leads a run clinic at Fit First.
