Donte' Lewis (also known as Avidd Minddset), is an Electronic Music Producer and DJ from Baltimore, Maryland. His interest in music production started in 2008 during a late night party at an anime convention. From there he would teach himself how to make his own beats, as well as learn how to create DJ mixes using only a laptop, and a digital audio workstation called "MAGIX". In 2010 Lewis created his first one-hour DJ set consisting of Top 40 Hip-Hop and EDM of that time. From 2014-2018 he took classes on how to mix and master music, as well as improve on MIDI and music production techniques. Lewis then took on the moniker of "Avidd Minddset" in 2019, and started producing music using his newfound and enhanced music production techniques. In March 2020 he dropped his first EP entitled "Minddgames" with two follow-up album releases in July and August of that same year; with one called "Primetime" and the other "Mental Vacation". It was also during this year that Lewis started learning how to DJ during the pandemic, and continues to improve his craft even today.While producing music and DJing, Lewis thought about creating his own event. Since one of his biggest goals was to DJ at an anime/gaming convention afterparty, he decided to create that opportunity for himself to do so. Not only did he want to showcase his DJ skills through his own promotion, he also wanted to create an outlet for "bedroom" and novice DJs to showcase their skills in front of a crowd as well. On July 1, 2023 Lewis founded his own DJ & Nightlife Entertainment promotion called BASSMODE: Nerdz Nite Out; a place where anime, cosplay, music and gaming nerds living in Maryland and Pennsylvania could let their hair down, let their geek flag fly, and have a good time with their fellow nerds. In September 2024, Lewis changed the name of the promotion to Club BASSMODE; stating that the reason for the change is in 'name only', and that its still the same promotion Baltimore geeks and nerds will love. Lewis' mission for Club BASSMODE is to promote and create positivity within the nerd community, as well as the culture that it's apart of.
