Edinburgh Law Seminars, presented in association with Edinburgh Law School, have been delivering high quality CPD seminars for more than 30 years. Our professional seminars combine deep knowledge with practical insight and experience, delivered by speakers of the highest quality.Our Law CPD seminars include Estate Planning and Tax: Wills, Trusts and Executries, Contract Law Update, Family Law Update and our flagship event the annual Conveyancing update with Professors Gretton and Reid. In addition to our regular series, we deliver one off seminars in response to changes in legislation, for example Land and Buildings Transaction Tax and Additional Dwelling Supplement.Edinburgh Law Seminars Limited is a wholly-owned trading subsidiary of the Edinburgh Legal Education Trust (ELET), the charity to which the profits from the seminars are paid. ELET is a charity established by academics within the University of Edinburgh’s Law School dedicated to supporting legal education in Scotland, particularly in relation to Scots Law. The charity has supported a number of students to complete doctorates on important practical subjects; supports the publication of contemporary and historic Scottish legal texts; sponsors academic conferences; purchases books and other materials for Edinburgh University Law Library; and supports legal education and research in a variety of other ways.Traditionally our seminars have been delivered face to face to audiences throughout Scotland and by video linkup to our remote audiences. In these uncertain times we are adapting the way we deliver our seminars to bring you the same high quality seminars and materials in a safe and convenient way.TERMS AND CONDITIONSAll fees must be paid in full before the day of each seminar.For cancellations received up to five working days before a seminar commences, a 20% administration charge will be made.  After this date, fees will not be refunded, but places are fully transferable within a series.Edinburgh Law Seminars reserves the right to cancel or postpone the seminars, in which case fees will be refunded.In the event of cancellation or postponement, Edinburgh Law Seminars will not be held liable for registrants' travel or accommodation costs.Our discounted rate of £50 plus VAT per person is applicable where there are six or more people from the same organisation as part of one booking order across any of our current seminars. The first five places acrosswill be charged the standard fee, the sixth and subsequent places will be entitled to the discounted rate.The discounted rate for Conveyancing seminars does not include a copy of the revised materials when they are published in book form.
