Amherst Glebe Arts Response (AGAR) in Amherst, VA,commissions, produces, develops and presents arts and humanities programs primarily in Amherst County in the Greater Lynchburg, VA. AGAR presents a variety of programs in early, classical, world, jazz and new music in a variety of spaces, primarily in Amherst County and the Greater Lynchburg area. We commission and present plays. Our Humanities programs are presented in Museums, libraries community gatherine places, and often afterwards are uploaded free of charge on the Amherst Glebe Arts Response YouTube channel. This season our live interactive presentation between author Yaa Gyasi "Homevoming" and Sweet Briar College's Mary Helen Cochran Library will also utilize AGAR's youtube channel for 2 weeks from February 5 to 19, 2025
