We Speak AAC brings together industry experts and users of AAC to provide you with tools, resources, support and an online AAC Academy. Our training is comprehensive, providing step-by-step instructions for AAC implementation, mentoring and evaluations.Brandi Wentland is a speech-language pathologist who specializes in AAC. She provides AAC training and implementation through social groups and ongoing therapy. Brandi has presented courses on AAC at conferences, schools, clinics, universities and privately held events and taught a graduate level course on AAC. Brandi is originally from Northern California and currently resides in Arizona where she hosts Out & About, a community group for AAC users and their communication partners. Brandi created and administers various FB groups for AAC including: We Speak AAC and Out & About.Sarah is a speech-language pathologist in Yuba City. She has experience working with children ages 0-5 in the early intervention and special education preschool programs as well as teenagers through her AAC family coaching program. Sarah works with children, families, and educators to provide early access to communication through use of AAC in the home and educational settings.Krista is a multimodal communicator and lifelong user of AAC. She utilizes a PRC-Accent with Unity 144 for her alternative and augmentative communication needs. Krista has provided AAC mentoring, training, and support in teletherapy, classrooms, day-treatment programs for adults and various virtual social groups including Kate Ahern’s AAC Voices and Out and About. Krista has presented at many conferences around the nation sharing her experience as an AAC user and a model for other AAC users. Krista is a mom of a 13 -year-old son. In addition to raising her son and working. She is a student at Arizona State University pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree. Krista is also enrolled in the SLPA program at NAU. She plans to be the first SLPA who is an AAC user.
