Founded in 2010 by Jameson Marvin, former Director of Choral Activities at Harvard University, and now music directed by Kevin Leong, the Jameson Singers has become one of the premiere vocal ensembles in the Boston area. Their repertoire spans a cappella gems from the 15th to the 21st centuries, and choral-orchestral masterworks including those of Monteverdi, Schütz, Bach, Haydn, Mozart, and Fauré. Featuring the characteristic attributes of Dr. Marvin’s choruses, the Jameson Singers has gained critical acclaim for their excellence in intonation, unified ensemble, and inspired, communicative singing. The Jameson Singers presents two concerts each season. The December program features seasonal texts, and the spring program ranges from sacred works of the Renaissance and early American a cappella repertoire to major choral orchestral works. The Jameson Singers is a member of the Greater Boston Choral Consortium, a cooperative association of diverse choral groups in the greater Boston area.
