The purpose and mission of the Doula Alliance of Arkansas (DA-AR) is:To have a unified voice in creating policy for medicaid reimbursement for doula services. This will include: what defines a professional doula in Arkansas, how much doulas will be reimbursed in our state, scope of practice, code of ethics, etc. We will have representation and advocacy at these important conversations.To make doulas more accessible for clients seeking care and referrals from healthcare workers through a shared website database.To create a space to meet other doulas from around the state to learn from and support each other. We hope to build a statewide and regional community.To grow the number of doulas and increase the quality of doula care in Arkansas. We will hold quarterly meetings virtually, and have an annual in-person conference in the fall each year with continuing education opportunities!
