Makush Gallery was established in 2001 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. From the beginning they had a vision to provide a collection of art that ranged from traditional to contemporary story telling of Ethiopia by the artist.Makush started with exhibiting the works of 15 local artists. Today Makush is working with over 120 artists providing a diverse and electric collection of over 750 paintings in the Gallery in Addis Ababa.Since the beginning Makush has focused exclusively on developing Ethiopian artists and in turn those artists have flourished in their art and livelihood.
