MissionThe mission of Genesis Outreach, Inc. (GOI) is to stabilize youth and families who are homeless or at risk of being homeless by establishing trust, acting as a service provider linking them with community resources, providing them with basic human needs, and advocating and assisting them in building opportunities for a better tomorrow.VisionOur vision is to shelter lives through hope by providing quality services and resources for young people throughout the world to help them establish a strong foundation so that they can become productive citizens of society.The basic goal of Genesis Outreach is to prevent more serious problems in the future and reduce homelessness through coordination of services. Whenever possible, youth will be assisted in remaining in their family environment; families will be given the support needed to remain intact. We also strive to provide basic needs such as food and clothing, hygiene products, temporary shelter, utility assistance, and more.Early intervention, including family reunification, alternative housing, and educational assistance is emphasized. We have assisted at least 8,000 individuals with food, clothing, furniture, toys (holidays), and/or other resources since 2007. We are unique, in that we go into different communities to provide services and resources to individuals and/or families in need instead of them trying to figure out how to come to us with many having difficulty with transportation and lack of funds. We also provide outreach services to students and families in the school system and foster care.Genesis Outreach, Inc. is a 501-C3, non-profit organization that service youth, young adults, and families in the community. We do several events throughout the year in multiple communities that allow young people and families in need an opportunity to receive clothing, shoes, coats, food, furniture, school supplies, and other miscellaneous items at no cost. Often times the working class is not qualified due to income restraints by the government; however, our events are not based on income but the need of the families that we service.How Can You Help?We have families that contact us often in need of basic things such as food and/or gift cards, clothing, shoes, hotel/motel assistance, gas for vehicles, financial support for mortgage/rent, utilities, medicine, school supplies, furniture, other household miscellaneous items, and non-perishable food. We are also in need of hygiene products to include sanitary napkins, tampons, deodorant, toothbrushes/toothpaste, body wash, alcohol, shaving cream, floss, mouthwash, baby diapers, and wipes. Paper products such as napkins, paper towels, cups, paper plates are needed as well. We are also in need of school supplies and backpacks for our back to school event that we host each year for 500-2000 students.Toys and non-perishables food (gift cards) for the holiday season. We are in need of any of these items as well as monetary donations to help support our community outreach efforts throughout the year. We are a 501-C3 tax exempt organization so all donations are tax deductible.We are always in need of volunteers to help with our many efforts in the community from picking up donations, sorting them, distributing them, setting up/breaking down for events, etc. Please feel free to contact us to see how you can donate your time and/or talent to our organization as we continue to make a difference in the community.
