I am participating in the 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon to benefit ALIVE Rescue, an organization that represents a cause very important to me.My name is Jessi Rochel and I am on a mission to complete the Abbott World Marathon Majors! I’ve completed NYC and Berlin, and now I have my sights set on Chicago.But rather than run just for the sake of running and getting a special medal, I want to make my journey mean something. For those that know me, you know I love my rescue kitty, Bergi. And that is why I have teamed up with ALIVE, a no-kill animal rescue in Chicago, specializing in the old, the unwanted, the sick, and the forgotten. ALIVE rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes animals, saving them from unnecessary euthanasia. They also have a special focus on unpopular breeds, senior pets, and animals with special needs.
