STEAM URBAN is a S.T.E.A.M.-disciplined, 501(c)(3) non-profit that was founded to change the way education looks and feels for Black and Brown students of all ages by tackling three main topic areas: Environmental Justice, Social Justice, and Educational Equity. Our comprehensive S.T.E.A.M. curriculum is taught using innovative and interactive educational experiences while using trauma-conscious healing modalities and addressing the realities of those located in under-resourced communities.STEAM URBAN programming is free, consistent, accessible, available year-round, and taught by dedicated Radical Educators who are experts in their fields. Our programming educates students on the endless possibilities they have for their futures, gives them a voice and platform to be valued and protected, and provides a creative and innovative approach to virtual and in-person learning.
