Awqaf Africa is a pan-African institution dedicated to reviving and modernizing the waqf (endowment) system as a catalyst for sustainable development, social transformation, and financial inclusion.Through initiatives like the Global WaqfTech Conference, we bring together scholars, innovators, policymakers, and Islamic finance experts to explore how emerging technologies—such as AI, blockchain, fintech, and geospatial mapping—can empower the global waqf ecosystem.Our mission is to integrate faith-based governance with digital innovation, in alignment with Maqasid al-Shariah and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), creating a transparent, secure, and future-ready waqf economy for all.
