My name is Michel Vejar, aka The Traveling Epicurean. I'm a chef, caterer, teacher, blogger, tv personality, editor, producer, recipe creator and author of my appetizer cookbook called "Yum", available on Amazon. This cookbook features a collection of mouthwatering party appetizer recipes so yum they are worthy of an entire meal!My epicurious life began at a young age spending time in many family kitchens. Counter tops covered in pasta strands drying out on dish towels, tomato-basil sauce simmering away while pouring pasta crepe batter (grandma's recipe) into a little cast-iron pan for homemade manicotti, and lets not forget those incredible meatballs! There's a Website, thetravelingepicurean.com and YouTube channel, "The Traveling Epicurean", that began over10 years ago which houses 100's of my recipes along with revealing tips and tricks of the trade. These platforms come with colorful instructional pictures and video, making cooking as easy as possible with gourmet results. After much hard work in the food industry you can find my recipes featured regularly in print, online publications, while also having appeared monthly on live tv doing cooking segments on a show called Connecticut Style on WTNH (abc) channel 8 in New Haven, Connecticut.I now reside in Mount Pleasant and love golfing in the mild winter here (having had a putting green in my dining room for 15 years back in CT), running, gardening, cooking with my foodie friends and spending time with my 2 children when they're home from college.
