Hi, I’m Holly.For most of my life I have experienced anxiety, like many people. Getting back to nature has always been essential for me and I have become increasingly aware of how much this benefits me in balancing my life and minimising that anxiety. I want to share this with others and help people connect to the natural world on a deeper level. More than this, I believe that strengthening the connection between humans and the rest of nature is the key to our survival on Earth.In 2019 I completed practitioner training in Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing) with Nature and Therapy UK. There are elements of both science and spirituality in this practice, which have enormous health benefits – as shown by the adoption of Shinrin Yoku as a recognised prescription for stress, anxiety, sleep problems and other health issues in Japan.In my career so far, I have worked for the RSPB, the National Trust and Woodland Trust, and my various roles have involved organising events, leading guided walks and inspiring people about the wonderful wildlife of the UK. For 6 years I was also a Walking and Wildlife guide for Eurocamp – leading walks in either the French Alps or the Grands Causses for a week each spring. In 2020 I set up Derbyshire Forest Bathing to provide experiences that are focussed on wildlife and wellbeing.I am a trained Hill and Moorland Leader, including navigation and group leadership, and I also hold an outdoor first aid qualification.Join me on a relaxing walk in nature and reconnect with your senses to re-wild yourself!
