Mexican immigrant ILL ZakieL has been putting in work. Having crossed the U.S. border illegally at the age of 5, ILL comes from humble beginnings. His family’s story is one of persevering through the struggles, starting from the bottom with nothing, and through hard work and dedication they have made it a long way. The same could be said for his music career. ILL worked in the northern Nevada gold mines for 11 years to put himself in the position to pursue his music career full time.
