Women’s Inclusive Team (WIT) is a grassroots organisation for women in Tower Hamlets and the wider east London area. We operate from two sites in Tower Hamlets; Mayfield Hub in Bethnal Green, where we run the majority of our services for adults and young people, and Chicksand Preschool in Whitechapel, where we deliver childcare and activities for young families. Our new strategic plan for 2025-28 is based around five objectives:Health and Wellbeing; enabling women to achieve and maintain good physical and mental health.Economic Prosperity; empowering women to build sustainable financial security and create pathways to prosperity.Voice and Influence; developing women’s individual and collective capacity to shape decisions and influence change.Thriving Families; supporting women in nurturing family relationships that bring stability, growth and joy.Vibrant Communities; creating active, enriching, and mutually beneficial communities around women.Our Advice department comprises a dedicated team of five professionals, led by a trainee social worker who brings an impressive 40 years of experience in the field, coupled with a genuine passion for helping others. This team is committed to ensuring that the Somali community has access to specialised support tailored to their unique needs, effectively addressing the challenges they face and empowering them to navigate various systems confidently. Through their collective expertise and dedication, the Advice department strives to foster a supportive environment where community members can seek guidance and achieve their goals.
