Habitual Roots is a local community organization that helps people improve their wellness through authentic human connection. We offer local classes and events, and provide access to wellness resources for anyone interested in personal growth, new to town, or looking to enhance their daily life. Our aim is to help people connect deeper to themselves and others while offering access to personal wellness and mindfulness-based programming with a like-minded community. All of this is done through evidence based principles and methods for the ultimate goal of helping people become empowered to transform their lives and begin living the life that genuinely fulfills them.The Habitual Roots community is open to all, offering a place for self-expression and connection in a safe and judgment free environment. Habitual Roots is a local non-profit and registered as a US 501 (c)(3) public charity,--The quest for wellness and personal growth comes with its difficulties. People don’t always know how to start, who to trust, or where to go to get results. At the same time, it can feel lonely or tough to stay motivated when being done just through books and podcasts.People choose Habitual Roots events because we bridge the gap between wellness events, community groups, and authentic human connection. Many yoga classes are exercises without meaningful connection. Many community/social events are primarily drinking and superficial conversation. While these activities have value, they don’t always feel deeply fulfilling. Habitual Roots solves that. Every experience is designed to include time for meaningful connection in addition to the planned activity. The result is that participants come away from every experience feeling a bit more connected to others or to themselves than before.To achieve our ultimate goals for individuals, we focus on four primary aspects of wellness: emotional management, healthy habits, deeper sense of community and connection to self. All of our programming touches on at least one of these four pillars, helping an individual growth in that area in some way. The end result is that over a period of consistent practice and engagement with our community, members generally see significant improvements in all of these aspects in their life, and report increased life satisfaction and a sense of belonging.Finally, as a non-profit organization, all profits are funneled back into the organization and the community, so any financial commitment to Habitual Roots goes far beyond just the events, and helps us serve others in the community by providing scholarships for those seeking access to our programming and need financial assistance.
