With a passion for equity and a gift for connecting with others, he empowered students to succeed—often in the face of daunting circumstances and systemic barriers that limited their opportunities.As a teacher, consultant, speaker, and author, Jay inspired students and colleagues alike with his energy, authenticity, and conviction that “as we know better, we must become better.” He championed policy changes in education, striving to create environments where every learner could realize their full potential.Jay’s mission extended beyond the classroom. He sought to engage, empower, and motivate not only students and educators but society as a whole—believing that true impact came from modeling the values of connection, empowerment, and continuous growth.To honour this remarkable legacy, Jay’s family established the Jay Williams Legacy Fund.
