Lone Kings Chess Academy, based in San Diego, CA, is a chess club and academy for K-12 students and adults. We offer a range of services including chess instruction, club meetings, and chess tournaments.Chess Instruction: Our experienced staff, comprised of certified chess coaches, provides high-quality chess instruction and support. We offer lessons designed to accommodate players of all levels, from beginners to advanced. We specialize in coaching scholastic chess (K-12); but we also like teaching adults that love chess.Club Meetings: Join us for our club meetings, where our members come together to learn, practice, and enjoy the game. Our club welcomes players of all ages and abilities. It's a great opportunity to meet fellow chess players, learn chess topics, and enhance your playing skills.Chess Tournaments: As an affiliate of the United States Chess Federation (USCF), we organize official tournaments. If you join the USCF, you can participate in official tournaments, you will receive an ID number and a national rating.Mission: Our mission is to make chess accessible to everyone and to assist players in reaching their desired skill level. We strive to create a positive and educational experience that promotes analysis, critical thinking, problem-solving, as well as sportsmanship.For K-12 students: we work with parents to enhance the chess experience for their children.
