Who is holding the container:Micaela Musterer: Welcome and thank you for your interest in diving deep with us into the realms of grief and love. I feel very honored to be co-holding this container with Jen and all of you. At a very early age I have been drawn to friends and family that were going through a challenging time in life. I instinctively leaned in and wanted to support them. Since then I have wanted to create a life where I can support others and myself in a meaningful way. This journey brought me to many things including a college degree in psychology, completed a yoga teacher training, apprenticeship learning moon cycles and ritual, herbal apprenticeship, death doula certificate and grief apprenticeship with Elders in the grief community. I feel committed to creating a space for community to come together where we can tend to lifes wounds and create authentic connection with ourselves and others.Jen George: I've been walking closely with grief since the death of my mother in early 2019. Exploring and learning ways to be alongside my grief in community has been transformational and shined a light on something I wasn't aware of before - I've actually been holding deep grief in my body since a very young age. Having this awareness over the last few years has been not only healing but set me on a new path. Since I didn't have a safe, welcoming container to explore and release grief growing up, I buried it and leaned on unhealthy coping skills to ease the discomfort. Now I see and feel on a deep level how much unexpressed grief is affecting others as well and have committed to finding ways to support others on this journey. Over the last 18 years I've trained in Shiatsu Therapy, Health & Life Coaching, Purpose Guiding, Reiki and other modalities to help others be with what is present and while also moving blocked energy.
