Light in the Shire is a not-for-profit organization, focusing on assisting the Australian community through facilitating the study, understanding and practice ofthe spiritist philosophy.We shall achieve this main purpose by:a) Facilitating the awareness of Spiritist Philosophy principals through all possible means (media, internet, providing workshops, lectures, books, videos, etc)b) To promote individual’s Inner Transformation with the objective of enhancing their moral values, consoling their sufferings and providing hope, as explained in the Spiritist Philosophy.c) To organise and maintain a library with spiritist books, as well as point interested members towards reliable media/channels for better understanding and study of the Spiritist Philosophy.d) Promote social assistance to the community in need, exercising principles such as love, charity, fraternity, humbleness, tolerance, peace, etc;e) Organise and maintain courses, according to the Spiritist Philosophy principles, for members enabling and motivating them to serve the Spiritist Centre and the community;f) Develop and maintain activities and studies to increase awareness of Spiritist Philosophy to children and teenagers;
