Elizabeth served for over 4 decades in public and private education as a teacher , principal and director while striving to establish equity and quality in our schools. In 2009, she decided to launch a non profit to bring community members together on common ground and to authentically transform perspectives. She knew powerful connections would take place as nutritious dense food was grown. Since then, Promise of Peace Gardens has established 18 food farms and is now establishing a 14 acre farm in Mineola, Texas. Elizabeth hopes that more will gardens grow in our country so tath all children and families can experience the rich abundance and beautiful humanity that can transpire when we grow together.
